Our Floral Design Process

Step One.
Fill out our Inquiry Form

The first step in the design process is for you to fill out our Initial Inquiry Form. This initial questionnaire helps us gather some brief information about your wedding day. If we are available on your wedding date, we will have you fill out a more in-depth questionnaire regarding the wedding you want, your floral preferences, and your needs.

Step Two.
Retainer and Floral Design Portfolio

After we review your inquiry and determine that we are a good fit for your vision and are available on your wedding day, we will invite you into the design process with our Floral Design Portfolio (FDP).  The FDP is a full wedding floral design that is tailored to your vision, style, and wedding palette. We require a $295 Design Fee. This retainer secures your wedding date with us and lets our designers get to work on your design. (Couples married at The Cypress House do not pay for this service.)

Step 3.
Finalize and Approve your Floral Design Portfolio

We want you to LOVE your wedding design, so we take our time communicating with you, tweaking and updating your FDP and proposal until it is exactly the look, colors, and feel that you have envisioned. You will have the ability to see exactly what you will pay for each element of your wedding day from the wrist corsages to your altar. We will also provide add-on possibilities so that you can pick and choose the elements that you want based on what is most important to you and what fits your budget.

Step 4.
Approve and Sign your FDP

Once the main design work is complete and we agree on colors, elements and cost, we will both be able to sign off and finalize your wedding day design proposal. Your signed contract and booking payment guarantees your pricing and desired design elements.

Step 5.
Final Payment and Floral Delivery

With your design finalized you won’t have to worry about anything until you make your final payment for your wedding florals, 45 day before your date. We will then place your flower order based upon our contracted design and color palette. Your fresh flowers arrive to us 3-4 days before your day. We process trim and begin building your floral arrangements to be delivered to your venue. Once we arrive with your florals, we will set up, do any necessary on-site design, deliver your bridals and make sure that everything is beautiful for your ceremony and reception before we leave your venue.

Step 6.
After Your Wedding

We will return after your reception to gather our rental items, tear down any installments, and pull any remaining floral left at your venue.
