Here is some helpful information for when you begin the planning process for your event’s bar service…

  • We strongly encourage a minimum of 2 bartenders per event. This will help to ensure they can keep up with the flow of traffic during your cocktail hour and reception and lessen lengthy wait times for your guests. We require your bartenders to be RAMP certified. If your bartenders are not provided by your catering company you must submit proof of RAMP Certification to admin@thecypresshouse.org. You can find bartending recommendations under the the Preferred Vendor tab.

The bartenders servicing the event are required to arrive with enough time to properly set their bar, ensure everything is on ice, and they have what they need to perform that service. Bartenders typically arrive with a minimum of a few hours to ensure specific alcohol is ready to go at the proper locations, glasses are set, bar is stocked, etc.

  • On the property we include access and use of the following: 2- 8 foot dry bars (pictured ), 1- 15.7 cubic foot freezer for ice storage (located in the stone prep space), 1 side-by-side refrigerator/freezer (located in the pool house), and 2- catering size Igloo coolers.

  • Our venue is BYOB. If you will be serving alcohol at your event be sure to make sure your event insurance covers alcohol (typically referred to as Host Liquor Liability).

We recommend consulting with your bartenders to get an idea of the volume of alcohol you will need to purchase based on your guest count.

We strongly encourage the use of kegs. This will help you use minimal ice and leave minimal waste.

The follow two local businesses are great vendors to consider. They will provide delivery on the day of your event. Contact at least 3 weeks in advance of your wedding to ensure you can get your preferred beverage choices.

Additionally, after dinner service concludes, plastic must also be used in the reception space.

  • We do not allow the use of beer trucks or coolers that hook into our power systems.

If you are considering hiring a bar service that serves out of a vehicle instead of our provided bars please consult with our venue coordinator before booking to ensure we can accommodate- admin@thecypresshouse.org.
